Care with time for the person behind the visit

Care by Cara was created with one simple belief: everyone deserves support that is personal, unhurried and built on trust.

Working in home care has shown me how rushed schedules can leave little time to truly get to know the person behind the care. I wanted to create something different - a service where there is time to listen, understand someone's routines and preferences, build a genuine bond and make sure they feel valued rather than hurried.

I believe emotional support and companionship are just as important as practical help. Many older people do not need anything complicated - they may simply be spending too much time alone. They might want someone to share a cup of tea with, go for a walk, have a proper conversation with, or help them feel confident getting out of the house again. No one should feel lonely simply because they are getting older.

Continuity is also at the heart of Care by Cara. As an owner-led service, your visits are provided by Cara, giving you the consistency and reassurance of getting to know the same person. That familiarity can be especially reassuring for someone living with Alzheimer's or dementia, but it is valuable for anyone who wants to feel comfortable and secure with the person coming into their home.

Being a mum has also taught me a great deal about patience, responsibility, reassurance and caring for another person through the everyday moments as well as the difficult ones. I bring those qualities, alongside my hands-on experience in home care, to the way I support every client.

My promise is simple: compassionate one-to-one support with the time, consistency and respect every person deserves, so nobody has to feel alone.
